Terms & conditions

These terms govern your use of Veld Tax Studio, a bookkeeping and SARS reporting service provided by Goshen Premium Chauffeur ("we", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

1. Who you are contracting with

The service is owned and operated by Goshen Premium Chauffeur, trading as Veld Tax Studio. Your agreement for the use of the software is with Goshen Premium Chauffeur. Our business address is 3 Bushwood Road, Mowbray, Cape Town, 7700, South Africa. You can contact us at enquiries@veldtax.com.

2. What the service does

Veld Tax Studio lets you capture receipts, invoices and bank statements, uses artificial intelligence to read amounts, dates, suppliers and categories, applies automated tax rules and audit checks, and prepares monthly and annual reports intended for SARS submissions.

The service is software, not tax advice. It is AI-run and AI-audited. Outputs are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for reviewing every figure and for the accuracy of anything you submit to SARS. Before relying on any report for filing or payment purposes, verify it with a qualified accountant, bookkeeper or registered tax practitioner.

3. AI-generated outputs and your verification duty

Because the system is AI-run and AI-audited, it can suggest categorisations, VAT treatments, payroll calculations, audit flags and SARS-pack figures that a human accountant might disagree with. Those suggestions are provided to speed up your bookkeeping, not to replace professional advice.

You must review, correct and approve every output before it is used for tax filing, payroll payment, invoicing, financial statements or any other compliance purpose. Goshen Premium Chauffeur is not liable for penalties, interest, underpayment or missed deadlines that result from uncorrected AI errors.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you create an account for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

5. Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your chosen plan for your own business. You may not reverse engineer the service, resell or redistribute access, or circumvent technical or plan limits.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the service unlawfully or to further fraud, tax evasion, spam or money laundering;
  • upload content that infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including introducing malware, probing or scanning systems, or scraping data;
  • attempt to access data belonging to another customer.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the documents and records you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you, including automated reading and categorisation of documents you submit.

8. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the service, including the software, documentation, design and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you.

9. Payment, subscription and taxes

Subscriptions start with a free trial period, after which the plan renews at the advertised price until cancelled. No card is required during the free trial. Payment, billing, invoicing, tax, currency, cancellations and refunds are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Please also read our refund policy.

10. Reseller and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

11. Service availability

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party failures and events beyond our reasonable control may cause downtime.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted.

13. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for penalties or interest arising from information you submit to SARS. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not permit exclusion.

14. Indemnity

You indemnify us against claims arising from content you upload, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.

17. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact Goshen Premium Chauffeur at enquiries@veldtax.com. Billing and order questions are handled by Paddle at paddle.net.
