Privacy notice
Goshen Premium Chauffeur, trading as Veld Tax Studio, is the responsible party (data controller) for the personal information described below. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have.
Last updated 2 October 2026
1. Who we are
Goshen Premium Chauffeur operates Veld Tax Studio. We decide how personal information processed through the service is used, which makes us the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the data controller under the GDPR where it applies.
Our business address is 3 Bushwood Road, Mowbray, Cape Town, 7700, South Africa.
2. What we collect and why
- Account details — name, business name, email address and login credentials, to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Business and tax details — VAT number, address, phone, banking details you enter for invoices, and your tax year settings, to produce your documents and reports. Legal basis: contract.
- Uploaded records — receipts, invoices, bank statements, proofs of payment and the transactions extracted from them, to categorise expenditure, track VAT and build your reports. Legal basis: contract.
- Customer records you enter — the names and contact details of your own clients, so we can issue quotes and invoices on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to share those details with us.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information, log and error data, to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and fix faults. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — what you send us when you ask for help, to answer you. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
3. Automated document reading and AI processing
Documents you upload are read and interpreted by artificial intelligence and automated tools to extract amounts, dates, suppliers, categories, tax treatments and audit flags. This produces suggestions that you must review and are able to correct; the AI does not make final decisions with legal or tax consequences for you.
You should verify any AI-generated figures with a qualified accountant or registered tax practitioner before using them for SARS filings, payroll, invoicing or financial statements.
4. Who we share information with
- Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which sells the subscription, manages billing, payments, tax compliance and invoicing, and handles billing support.
- Service providers — hosting, database, storage and document-processing providers who act on our instructions under contract.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit advisers where needed.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process information outside South Africa. Where that happens we rely on contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep the information protected to a comparable standard.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and financial records for as long as your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal retention obligations — tax records are typically kept for five years. When information is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account isolation so that only you can read your own records. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to give you access to your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable format, and you may withdraw any consent you have given. Contact us through the support channel in the app and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the UK or EEA.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but the service will not work correctly without the essential ones.
When you open checkout, Paddle may use essential cookies and device information for payment processing, security and fraud prevention under its own privacy and cookie notices.
10. Information Officer and contact
Our POPIA Information Officer is Velile Mbenene. For access requests, corrections, objections, complaints or any privacy question, email enquiries@veldtax.com. We will update this notice when our processing changes and post the new version here.
